Zodiac Marine is the world's largest manufacturer of rigid inflatable boats. The Director of Operations handles operations processes

involved in a supply chain by liaising with a variety of parties including suppliers of raw materials, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers

and consumers. The Director of Operations coordinates processes to ensure customer satisfaction. An understanding of external

influences, such as legislation, fuel costs and global business environmental conditions is essential. Key responsibilities include

Inventory Demand Management (Production and Warehouse Environment); Order Fulfillment; Distribution Logistics Management;

Production Planning and Management; Quality Control.

Duties included:

• Direct accountability for transportation, stock control, warehousing and manufacturing

• Demand management

• Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods

• Managing staff, including development and training support team, objectives/goal setting and performance management

Responsible for both steel and fiberglass sides.

Reported to the company Owners. Sea Fox boats is a top ten producers of outboard engine boats and was the fastest growing boat company in the

US. Responsible for all aspects of production and new product development during an expansion from $28 million to $46 million. Boat production

increased form 43 boats per week to 60.

Operations Manager

Hunter Marine is the largest builder of sailboats in the United States and the second largest in the world. Reported to the President of Luhrs Marine

Group. Responsible for all aspects of boat manufacturing including 400 employees involved in purchasing, furniture manufacture, fiberglass

lamination, welding, thermoforming and assembly. Built a self motivated management team that performs without “finger pointing.”

Caught production up form being 70 days behind schedule

Reduced labor as a percent of sales from 14% to 11%

Implemented a boat building process that produces a higher quality boat in less time

Reduced work-in-process up to 70% in some departments through one piece flow

high performance boats and a wholly owner subsidiary of Sea Ray Boats part of the Brunswick Corp. Responsible for 330 direct and indirect

employees and $70 Million in production. Oversaw all manufacturing, materials, production scheduling, purchasing, maintenance and quality.

Responsible for implementing lean manufacturing principals. Full budgeting, profit and loss responsibility and capital purchases .
