SUMMARY: Ensures that Bills of Lading are completed, and invoices are delivered with timeliness and high degree of accuracy.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for analyzing customer, import and export data related to the day-to-day processes of Customer Operations which include the areas of cargo booking, customer care, and documentation.
PEOPLE MANAGER: N/A
EXPERIENCE: 3 – 5 years of related experience in the transportation/logistics industry; prior experience in booking, customer service, documentation or BL revisions is preferred
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Ability to perform accurately in a detailed oriented environment. Ability to function effectively with or as part of a team. Ability to gather, interpret, report and use data and other information concerning assigned activities. Ability to manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of import forwarding and customs brokerage in a domestic and/or international capacity. Knowledge of U.S. transportation, DOT regulations and import/export regulations. Knowledge of project document control management, workflow processes, navigating project folder structures and formal document review processes

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
