Tax Manager

Overview:

Hixen Search Group is assisting our client, located in Columbus, OH in its search for a Tax Manager within their Corporate Tax department. The company, a large company with several advancement opportunities, is restructuring due to growth within their corporate tax team. The Tax Manager will work on strategic tax planning, tax accounting, & assist with the preparation of consolidated returns at the Federal and State level. Excellent exposure to Leadership, strong work/life balance, and a clear path to Tax Manager. Ideally targeting someone with 5+ years' Public Accounting and ASC 740 experience. Responsibilities:

Review of monthly Tax accounting (ASC 740), working with various departments for Tax Reporting

Prepare and review tax forecasts (tax assumptions, variance analysis)

Review of consolidated returns on the Federal and State level

Working closely with Financial Reporting team on complex transactions and tax implications

Work cross-functionally to improve and build process improvements

Desired Candidate Profile:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA or progress towards a plus but not required

5+ years' tax experience, either in public accounting or another corporate tax team

Management experience required (2+ years ideally)

ASC 740 experience // tax accounting and tax planning experience required

Great communication skills - will work closely with Leadership
