P6 Outage Scheduler

We are currently looking for a P6 Outage Scheduler for our client in the Texarkana, TX area.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced P6 Outage Scheduler to support the planning and execution of maintenance outages for critical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Primavera P6 scheduling, with expertise in managing large-scale outages, turnarounds, or shutdowns within the energy, utilities, or industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and update detailed outage schedules using Primavera P6.

Collaborate with project managers, maintenance teams, and operations staff to ensure accurate and achievable outage plans.

Monitor project progress, identify potential scheduling conflicts, and recommend mitigation strategies.

Coordinate resource allocation and ensure alignment of labor, materials, and equipment with the schedule.

Provide regular reports and updates on outage status, milestones, and critical paths to stakeholders.

Facilitate outage planning meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of scheduling practices.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout the outage process.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in outage, turnaround, or shutdown scheduling within the energy, utilities, industrial, or manufacturing sectors.

Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling software.

Strong understanding of maintenance processes, resource management, and project controls.

Ability to analyze complex data, develop contingency plans, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Knowledge of industry best practices related to outage planning and execution.

[Optional: PMP, PMI-SP, or similar certifications preferred.]

Preferred Background:

Experience in power generation, oil & gas, chemical plants, or industrial facilities.

Familiarity with SAP or other CMMS tools.
