Position Summary

The Sr. Network Applications Engineer serves as Analogic's technical lead for designing, configuring, programming, installing, and maintaining network solutions to support the ConneCT and SeleCT product solutions. This role serves as a critical link between customers, program management, order management, service, and engineering, addressing technical challenges, determining optimum solutions, documenting network designs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain greenfield / brownfield network infrastructure at various client sites, ensuring high availability and performance.

Conduct network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Travel to client sites to perform network installations, configurations, and troubleshooting as required.

Deploy, configure, and manage network equipment, including routers, switches, OOB devices and firewalls.

Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.

Establish and maintain secure VPN tunnels (site-to-site and remote access) to ensure secure connectivity.

Perform network upgrades and patches to ensure security and reliability. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network emergencies as needed.

Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco and Extreme Networks devices.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Extreme Networks Specialist, Check Point CCSA/CCSE, Fortinet NSE) is required.

Proficiency in configuring and managing Check Point and FortiGate firewalls.

Strong understanding of network routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP).

Strong understanding of VPN technologies, including IPsec, SSL, and GRE.

Experience with network design and architecture, including capacity planning and performance optimization.

Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Wireshark).

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

50% travel to various domestic and international customer sites

You must have a valid Real ID driver's license and reliable transportation. If you do not have a Real ID, you must have a valid U.S. Passport.

Must be able to pass a background check (e-QIP)

The role involves working with the TSA, as a condition of employment and continued employment, you are required to obtain and maintain the necessary public trust security clearance(s).
