Definition
Under immediate supervision, is responsible for performing routine and repetitive clerical tasks; performs related duties as required.
Examples of Work

Operates keyboard or other device to enter data into computer; performs incidental typing duties;
Proofs alphabetic or numerical data on forms, records or other standard for accuracy and completeness;
Maintains files in an alphabetic, numeric, or chronological basis;
Sorts and routes incoming mail; places letters, reports, checks, vouchers and other material in envelopes for mailing;
Sorts, collates and assembles forms or other material;
Answers telephone;
Operates general office equipment such as multi-line telephones, facsimile machines, photocopiers;
Stocks supplies and forms; gives out various materials, forms or other items upon request;
Sets up codes, indexes, or tabs for filing or identification;
Uses computer to send and receive electronic messages;
Sends out dated materials according to predetermined instructions.
