Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, as well as the ability to manage heavy lifting and operate different types of vehicles.

Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for each route.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

Assist in warehouse operations when necessary, including inventory management and organization of goods.

Utilize manual transmission vehicles when required, demonstrating proficiency in commercial driving.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.

Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities.

Experience with load unloading techniques and familiarity with warehouse environments is a plus.

Knowledge of operating forklifts is advantageous but not mandatory.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing delivery routes and schedules.

Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.

Previous experience as a courier or van driver is desirable but not required.
