Medical Scribe / Physician Facilitator

Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Scribe / Physician Facilitator to join our team! You will work with physicians and other healthcare practitioners in the emergency room to create a medical record for each patient encounter.

Responsibilities:

Be early to every shift

Accompany the provider into patient rooms to document the encounter including the history, review of systems, and physical exam

Enter history and exam findings from medical personnel into the electronic medical record

Look up information from the patient’s electronic chart for the physician to review

Monitor the status of all lab and imaging studies to completion to ensure they return in a timely manner, notifying physician of any delays encountered

Remind physician when all testing results are back and the patient may be ready for reassessment and disposition

Facilitate communication between physician and other members of care team

Document procedures performed

Documents all discussions with other providers and family members

Complete patient chart upon their disposition, including importing all physician requested data

Qualifications:

Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service to care team and patients

Previous experience in medical transcription or other healthcare related fields

Familiarity with medical terminology and basic anatomy

Strong attention to detail

Proof of COVID vaccination (exemptions are possible)
