The Project Manager would manage both capital and turnaround projects. Specific turnaround need is for a fall sulfur recovery unit turnaround - mechanical focus.
Responsibilities:
Assembling and leading a full-time team to effectively execute the project.
Overseeing the preparation and implementation of the Project Execution Plan
Leading the FEL process, completing gate reviews, and obtaining management approvals
Leading the Contracting Strategy effort, managing the contractor evaluation, bid and award process.
Managing cost, schedule, procurement, and the billing payables groups
Interviewing and approving personnel from the contractor's organization
Understanding contracts and managing contractors to maximize performance, controlling costs and minimizing claims and change orders.
Setting up project facilities at site and in the contractor's office
Ensuring that proper schedules are issued, reviewed, and used to drive Project performance.
Ensuring the accuracy of the cost estimate as well as monthly cash flow forecasts
Setting up programs to manage vendors, fabricators, and any required specialty contractors.
Developing, gaining approval for, and managing to project KPI's and metrics
Leading development of a risk management plan
Preparing and giving presentations to various levels of the Company and other stakeholders
Requirements:
TWIC Card
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering (Required)
Must have prior experience managing both capital and turnaround projects.
Specific turnaround need is for a fall sulfur recovery unit turnaround - mechanical focus.
10 or more years of project management experience working in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
5 or more years of experience working as a Project Manager with sole accountability for the project.
