Position: Machine Operator III

Department: Nail Wood

Location: Hartselle, AL

Wage: $22.71/Hour Base Pay

Shift: 1st, 6a-2p

While reporting to the Shift Supervisor as the Machine Operator II, you will be responsible for running machines for each customer’s job. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting equipment to ensure the production of quality parts that meet company standards.

Consistently loading rolls of plastic onto machinery.

Setting up new jobs and operate various thermoforming machinery, make incremental process adjustments to machinery, monitor and report quality of manufactured products.

Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Performing all duties as designated by supervisor/manager in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies, help other departments as needed

This position is located in The Home of Southern Hospitality, Hartselle, AL.

We’d love to hear from you if:

You have previous machine operating experience in an industrial setting (Required)

You have extensive knowledge of personal hand tools and use them safely to set-up, adjust and maintain production equipment.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, work well independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

You have working knowledge of our products and their quality requirements, reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focused.

You will need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
