What You Should Know About the Personal Care Specialist Role:

A Personal Care Specialist is a DRIVING position requiring travel throughout Franklin and surrounding counties.

This is a full-time position with hours of 8:00am-4:30pm with a weekend and holiday rotation.

We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

The Personal Care Specialist’s Essential Duties Are:

Our STNAs are titled "Personal Care Specialist" because they are valued for their expertise in taking care of the patient's personal needs with dignity, compassion and empathy. You could become a Personal Care Specialist that provides quality nursing assistance to patients, assists the family with the care of the patient and works with a team that relies on your input from the close relationship you develop with the patient.

Qualifications for the Personal Care Specialist:

High school diploma or GED;

Certified State Tested Nursing Assistant with the State of Ohio without any board actions

One year of experience preferred;

Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPNA) preferred and will be made available to Ohio's Hospice employees who wish to obtain it.

Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.

Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.

Valid Driver's license with Safe Driving Record.

State minimum automobile insurance coverage.

Must be able to mass a background check

Must be able to pass a 10 panel drug screen
