Veterinary Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be skilled in various aspects of veterinary support. This role involves assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to our patients, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both animals and their owners. Duties include:

*Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with exams, treatments, and surgeries.

*Provide compassionate care and comfort to animals and their owners.

*Handle dogs, cats and pocket pets safely and effectively.

*Perform blood draws and other basic medical procedures under supervision.

*Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment.

*Prepare laboratory samples for testing and assist with laboratory tasks as needed.

*Educate pet owners on proper care techniques and home-care instructions.

*Front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and processing patient records.

*Contribute to a positive and supportive team atmosphere.

Experience - Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required.
