Heavy Equipment Mechanic III - Hiring Bonus

MNL is a full-service ecological restoration company. We provide decades of experience, knowledge, industry leadership and a variety of services. Our services range from backyard native seeding to large-scale restoration, bioengineering and everything in-between.

Position Overview:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic III repairs and performs preventative maintenance on Heavy equipment, automotive, agricultural, and small engine equipment used in ecological restoration.

HIRING BONUS: $5,000 total. $1,500 after 90 days, $1,500 after six months, $2,000 after a year.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a wide variety of vehicles and equipment used for ecological restoration, including, excavators, tractors, dozers, trucks, skid loaders, pumps, chainsaws, chippers, weed whips, ATV/UTVs, among other types of vehicles and equipment.

Respond to internal customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed

Provides and maintains personal tools to facilitate assigned tasks.

Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs are properly completed.

Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to all safety procedures.

Assist with maintaining an inventory of replacement parts and equipment.

Maintain documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner on a daily/job basis.

Provide assistance to all other levels of technicians as needed in regard to troubleshooting repairs.

Respond to calls in the field for emergency repair of equipment

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certified mechanic; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

5+ years of experience in heavy equipment or auto repair required.

Class A driver's license preferred and must have an insurable driving record.

Ability to use power or hand tools.

Excellent mechanical skills.

Ability to work independently and multitask.

Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Ability to diagnose problems through computer diagnostics

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, reach and move as needed.

Exposure to gasoline vapors and other mechanical fluids.

Able to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.

Must be dispatchable to work in the field, as needed, in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and extreme cold.
