As a result of our expanded business demand in the Columbus, OH market, GM Equipment Corp. is seeking a sales rep that can demonstrate proven sales results in our equipment rental & boom truck repair business. We are a full service heavy equipment rental, service and sales company serving an ever-expanding market in Western PA, Southern NY, Central & Eastern OH, Northern WV, and Michigan with 6 locations. Our inventory is large, growing, and well maintained for rentals, repairs and sales.
Job Summary:
Establish and maintain solid, mutually beneficial and profitable relationships with our current and new customers to meet their equipment rental & repair needs. Understand our customer's requirements and seek to meet them in a timely and efficient manner. Continuously communicate with your customer base on a regular basis. Work closely with our Field Operations office and other sales reps to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
You provide us:
Your demonstrated sales skills to grow our existing customer base
Your ability to find, attract, expand and close on new customers
A capability to make cold calls as well as lead generated calls
An understanding of large equipment and trucks. Construction industry knowledge is a plus.
An ability to write rental/service and sales contracts accurately. Generate pricing quotes for prospective customers. Work with the customer to get the sale
Coordinate the delivery of equipment, tracking sales invoices and problem resolution
An outgoing, people friendly demeanor with effective communication skills and an ability to connect with a customer. An exceptional talent to give outstanding support to all our customers
A unique ability to understand the customer need and meet it with speed
An organized, methodical and productive style of work . An ability to tackle multiple projects often fast paced
Capability to generate sales information and customer summaries to present to senior managers

Minimum 3 years of experience in rental / sales industry (equipment preferred)
Must be reliable, willing to follow directions and have a good work ethic
High School diploma or GED
