Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the project management team in all phases of large commercial construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
Project Support: Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, and executing large commercial construction projects.
Documentation Management: Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFI’s, and change orders.
Field Coordination: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards; assist in resolving any field issues that arise.
Cost Control: Help track project costs, assist in budget management, and support the preparation of cost estimates.
Communication: Act as a liaison between project stakeholders, including subcontractors, clients, and architects, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Quality Assurance: Support quality control efforts by conducting inspections and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and resolve engineering-related issues that may arise during construction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in project engineering or construction management, preferably with a commercial general contractor.
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with diverse teams.
Proficient in project management software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with LEED certification and sustainable building practices is a plus.
