Assistant Camp Director- Youth Day Camp- Seasonal

Assistant Camp Director needed for Camp Cove, an Ocean Community YMCA summer youth day camp located in beautiful Mystic, CT.

This is a great way to utilize your skills, have fun, and positively impact our community. This is a seasonal position (May-August) and is full-time Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities include:

Recruiting, training, and supervising camp staff and volunteers

Works with Camp Director to develop curriculum and programming.

Oversees drop off and pick up daily.

Assists with developing camp trainings.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years of age

Bachelor's degree in physical education or equivalent

Minimum of 1 year experience in physical education or recreation.

Experience working in a camp setting or similar.

Possess a warm and friendly personality with the ability to relate to youth of all ages.

Exhibit maturity and responsibility.

Be well organized and ability to multi-task.

Certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen Administration- American Red Cross preferred- YMCA will train.
