Pay Rate: $28.00-$33.60 (Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position)

GENERAL SCOPE: Assesses learning needs of the organization, evaluates and uses clinical and non-clinical resources to design and deliver training. A majority of time is devoted to the Nursing department for ongoing clinical staff development. Part-time position 8am - 2:30pm with flexibility to work occasional night(s) or weekend delivering education and training on all shifts.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: Current New York State license as Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is required. Bachelor's degree in nursing, nursing education or related field preferred. Knowledge of Assisted Living regulations preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assesses learning needs and identifies development opportunities.
Designs and delivers training to staff across the organization.
Evaluates, reviews and revises existing educational offerings. Initiates additional activities in order to meet changing needs.
Acts as a resource person and consultant for all staff members on teaching methods and materials.
Utilizes a variety of training techniques, methods to instruct training participants and enhance the learning experience.
Acts as an internal consultant in the development and utilization of evaluation tools.
Develops relationships with community agencies and organizations as well as universities and colleges.
Assists in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating training for palliative care and other programs as assigned.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 (five) years of nursing experience, ideally at least one of which must be in acute care. Minimum of one (1) year teaching/ instruction design experience.
