The Timekeeper is responsible for accurately recording, maintaining, and reporting employee attendance, hours worked, and other time-related data.

This role ensures that all employee hours are properly tracked, recorded, and submitted for payroll processing in accordance with company policies and labor laws.

The Timekeeper works closely with the HR, payroll, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate payments, leave tracking, and compliance with attendance policies.

Key Responsibilities - MUST KNOW TRACK - Time and Attendance Management: - Accurately record and track employee working hours, including regular, overtime, and leave hours.

- Monitor timekeeping systems (e.g., punch cards, electronic time clocks) to ensure data is properly captured.

- Ensure that employees adhere to company time and attendance policies.

- Resolve discrepancies or issues related to time and attendance, such as missed punches, unapproved overtime, or incorrect entries.

- Payroll Processing Support: - Prepare and submit time reports to the payroll department for timely processing of wages.

- Work closely with payroll to ensure that employee hours are accurately reflected in paychecks.

- Assist in the calculation of overtime, shift differentials, and other special pay conditions as necessary.

- Leave and Absence Tracking: - Track and record employee vacation, sick leave, personal time, and other absences.

- Ensure compliance with leave policies and ensure employees' time off is accurately reflected in payroll and HR systems.

- Generate reports for HR and management regarding employee attendance and leave balances.

-Compliance: - Ensure all timekeeping activities comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee hours in accordance with legal and company record-keeping requirements.

- Stay informed about changes in labor laws and timekeeping regulations that may impact payroll or attendance tracking.

- Employee Support: - Assist employees with questions or issues related to timekeeping, attendance, and payroll adjustments.

- Train employees on proper use of timekeeping systems and processes.

- Provide support to department managers in reviewing and approving employee time records.

- Reporting: - Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on employee hours, absenteeism, and timekeeping trends.

- Assist management with data analysis and reporting on labor costs, attendance patterns, and compliance.
