Class A CDL Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).

Responsibilities:

Safely transport finished goods and consumer materials over land to and from manufacturing plants, warehouses, or retail and distribution centers

Inspect tractors/commercial truck for mechanical items, safety issues, and perform preventative & routine maintenance

Plan routes and meet delivery scheduling and appointments on time

Use of ELD/Electronic Logbook to document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts

Comply with FMCSA/DOT commercial truck driving rules and regulations (logbooks, size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures

Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading or unloading positions

Report defects, accidents and/or violations to supervisor

Communicate effectively and positively with customers and staff

Regional Oregon route

Qualifications:

Established CDL driver with valid license

Minimum of 2 years of experience

No recent moving or driving violations within 1 year

No avoidable accidents within 1 year

Ability to be flexible, drive long hours, and travel regularly

Excellent customer service skills

Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, ELD units, CB etc)

Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, delays, etc

Strong work ethic
