Job Description
SAPA Transmission in its growth in the U.S.A. is looking for a highly skilled Mechanic to assemble,
maintain and repair tracked vehicle transmissions for the US Army.
You as a Field Service Representative will join to our Engineering Department in a leadership role
over all Mechanics, and will be responsible for ensuring quality, functionality, reliability, and
performance of our transmissions. The FSR is the SME of SAPA transmissions for the US.
Responsibilities:
Advise and coach Mechanics to assemble mechanical components according to
specifications.
Inspect transmissions and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
Conduct repairs disassembling transmission unit and replacing broken or worn parts, such
as seals, bearings, gears, and valves among other things.
Ensure work area and all tools clean and organized.
Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, verifying receipt.
Keep logs of work and report on issues.
Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g., perform maintenance tasks, fill transmissions and
other equipment with specified fluids, load/unload truck, etc.)
Requirements:
5-10 years of experience
High knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems.
Aptitude in using hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.), precision
measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and diagnostic equipment (pressure
sensors, multimeter, power supply units, etc.).
Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints, etc.
Proactive attitude towards work, teamwork, and cooperation.
Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving and leadership.
Availability for traveling.
