SQL DBA

We're seeking a SQL DBA to work for our Columbus client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances and database systems.

Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, indexing, and performance tuning.

Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.

Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data.

Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.

Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Perform regular database backups and test recovery procedures.

Identify and resolve database-related issues and errors.

Collaborate with application developers to troubleshoot query performance problems.

Monitor database growth trends and plan for capacity expansion as needed.

Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools for routine database tasks. Qualifications:

4+ years of as a SQL Database Administrator

Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Server 2016 and later versions.

Knowledge of database security best practices and data protection regulations.

Proficiency in T-SQL for scripting and troubleshooting.

Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.

Familiarity with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
