Requirements
We are currently looking for a full time, non-exempt Accounting Coordinator to serve as a financial hero to CME’s stakeholders. Our hero’s mission is to . . .
Administer the general ledger (i.e., daily entries, corporate checking accounts, deposits and loans, returned checks, prepaid and accrued expense transactions, fixed asset account transactions, CME payroll postings, etc.)
Reconcile related items and balance appropriate GL accounts (i.e., deposits, loans, share draft/ACH exceptions, teller summaries, money orders, corporate draft issuances, etc.)
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions while maintaining proper documentation and sufficient audit trails.
Support the plastics department by processing and balancing the daily card settlement postings and tracking all disputed and/or unreconciled card transactions.
Initiate and verify wire transfers.
To complete this mission, our financial hero needs to be an approachable, empathetic team player with great communication skills. Accuracy is of the utmost importance meaning our hero also needs to be organized with effective time management skills, tech savvy, and a multi-tasker who has a strong attention to detail. Being adaptable as well as a solution-oriented problem solver is also key.
At a minimum, our hero needs to have at least an Associate's Degree and an understanding of general accounting principles and practices. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Two years of accounting experience is required.
