Injection Molding Operator, Third Shift

Position: Injection Molding Operator

Location: Blacklick, Ohio

Department: Production

Reports to: Crew Leader

Shift: Third Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:30pm - 6:00am

Internal Application Dates: 3/20/25-3/27/25

JOB SUMMARY

The Molding/Assembly Operator position can be assigned to either the Molding or Assembly area and is responsible for the assembly and inspection of finished parts for defects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Proper placement of assembled components to the molded plastic parts to meet finished assembly quality requirements.

Safe Operation of equipment required to complete the assembly process (Punches, Fixtures, Heat Staking, Power Tools, In Mold insert placement, etc )

Ability to operate print equipment

Judge quality of molded part and inspect for defects

Trim gates or flash as necessary

Inspect and pack finished parts

Maintain a clean work area

QUALIFICATIONS

Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination and achieve the needed work speed as well as accuracy.

Able to lift up to 25lbs unassisted throughout the assigned shift

Ability to distinguish between different colors and shades of color

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Ability to detect molded part defects (short shot, flash, splay, burns, etc.)

Ability to complete manual assembly processes to achieve part drawing requirements

Ability to safely operate powered equipment and tools (drills, heat stakers, drivers, etc)

Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines

Good attendance record

Ability to work overtime, sometimes on short notice

Other duties as required
