Description Of Job Duties
The Assistant to the Chairperson of the Shimer Great Books School helps maintain the smooth functioning of the School’s day-today operations, particularly through maintaining non-sensitive records and other office duties; manages the School’s social media accounts and other promotional materials; develops and runs events on behalf of the School’s students; alumni and prospective students; liases with the department of Admissions on events for prospective students; and maintains the School’s social spaces in Seybert Hall.
Job Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled as a student at North Central College; preference will be given to students in the Shimer Great Books Program. Must be responsible, dependable, and willing to work. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be punctual. Previous social media experience is desirable.
