JOB SUMMARY:

Mid-Ohio Food Collective is looking for a Warehouse Specialist to be responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks associated with the acquisition, storage, and distribution of food products.

Hours are Monday through Friday (7:30am - 4:00pm).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform a variety of general duties including loading, unloading, inspecting and proper storage of food products.

Replenish freezer and refrigerated pull locations daily for order selectors

Load orders onto trucks for delivery to agencies. Completes bill of lading and assign seal number. Tags and shrink wraps skids to maintain safe transport and delivery of product.

Provide accurate product information via internal forms to Inventory team.

Ensure that first-in-first-expired methodology is used for each order transaction.

Input product information and maintain the WMS locator tool.

Assist with the cycle counts as needed.

Follow Food Safety guidelines for receiving, storage, and distribution.

Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following safety practices and policies.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Certifications: High School Diploma/GED required. Food Safety Certification (provided by the Mid-Ohio Food Collective).

Experience: Minimum of one year of warehouse experience including use of forklifts (propane and electric) and electric pallet jacks/riders (4ft and 8ft) is required. General working knowledge of warehouse operations, including quality control practices, procedures, and scanning equipment.

Skills/Competencies: Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Warehouse environment. Safety sensitive position due to regular interaction with heavy machinery. Required to work in sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods of time.

Must be able to perform moderate to heavy physical labor (lift 30 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally). Daily walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling (300 lbs. with use of manual pallet jack.). Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching.
