Apex Systems is a seeking a drafting professional for a CAD Technician opportunity with our Utilities client.

Title: CAD Technician

Location: Columbus, OH, 43215

- Shift: 1st - Onsite,

- Flexibility: 30 days of flex work throughout the year to work from home

- Schedule: 80 hours in 9 days with the 10th day off. Available after proven

Job Summary:

**Responsible for preparing orders, obtaining right of way, managing public project relocations, and implementing system improvements. Collaborate to determine customer needs, design facilities, and manage billing.**

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and revise engineering drawings.

- Adhere to drafting standards and ANSI practices.

- Assist in drafting, design, and documentation.

- Utilize drafting and design software.

- Handle ad hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

- 2-3 years of experience working with CAD

- Education: Associates degree preferred; high school diploma with experience acceptable.

- Bachelors degree in business or engineering technology is helpful but not necessary.

- Fundamentals of Engineering certification is considered overqualified.

Nice to Haves:

1. DDS (Distribution Design Software).

2. Maximo reporting software.

3. Oracle design.

4. Distribution operation tool set.
