Objective:rnThe Member Services Representative is a result driven position responsible for performing a broad variety of Member focused sales and services activities that helps enrich the financial lives of our Member.
This high-contact position requires the ability to deal effectively with Members and other Hopewell Federal team members in person, by telephone and in writing.rnDuties and Responsibilities:rnrn Assumes responsibility for the effective and professional performance of Member sales and service related functions.
rn Recommends products and services that assists in meeting Member's financial needs rn Resolves Member issues through listening, problem solving, and offering solutions.
rn Meets or exceeds all sales, service and productivity goals established for this position.
rn Answers and responds to Member inquiries and questions rn Performs file maintenance and account changes as necessary rn Establishes and maintains professional relationships with Members.
rn Resolves Member requests and questions promptly, courteously and professionally rn Keeps Members informed of Credit Union services and policies rn Maintains and projects the Credit Union's professional reputation rn Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relationships with staff and management rn Works as a team member with other Hopewell Federal team members rn Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly attends meetings as required rn Maintains an up-to-date status of all sales support and processing activity with routine reporting to management.
rn Registers with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) and maintains and renews the registration in addition to completing related compliance training as directed by Hopewell Federal.
rn Assists in other areas as directed by Credit Union management.
rn Develops an understanding of Credit Union history, philosophy, organization, policies and operational procedures.
rn On a self-directed basis, continues to improve individual level of competency rn Must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions.
rn Proficient in negotiating, instructing, persuading and speaking with others rnrnDesired Skills and ExperiencernRequired Qualifications:rnrnHigh school diploma or equivalent education or experiencernTwo to Five years of experience in a sales/customer service environmentrnPrior experience in a financial/banking institution preferredrnStrong organizational skills and attention to detailrnMust value a high degree of accuracyrnProfessional demeanorrnEffective communication skillsrnBasic PC skills (Windows)rnAssertive problem solving skillsrnrn rnDesired Qualification:rnAssociate's degree in Finance, Business or related fieldValid Notary Public certificationrn rnPre-employment background and credit check required.rn rnEOE StatementrnWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
