Software Engineer

Job Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Software Engineer in Columbus, Ohio. This role primarily revolves around modifying complex software and applications, as well as creating new programs to meet user and management requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Implement, document and debug designed tests.

• Provide technical support and guidance to users.

• Address and resolve any issues occurring in production systems.

• Lead projects in the development of automated systems or procedures.

• Offer direction and training to other team members.

• Play a pivotal role in modifying and explaining program changes following users' consultation.

• Handle an array of duties as assigned.• Strong communication skills to effectively articulate ideas and solutions

• Ability to provide training to team members and clients

• Proficiency in creating and implementing procedures

• Experience in design and consulting services

• Proficiency in SQL programming language

• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a team

• Ability to resolve technical issues efficiently

• Drive to continuously improve and optimize work processes

• Ability to provide technical support to clients and colleagues

• Expertise in SSIS for data migration tasks

• Proficiency in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

• Experience with production system operations

• Familiarity with debug techniques to identify and fix coding issues

• Experience with Datastage for data integration tasks

• Knowledge of QA management to ensure product quality

• Ability to handle photocopying/scanning documents as required
