Large Format Print Operator

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Large Format Print Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be working with a team in a production environment operating and maintaining large format printers and a CNC router, to produce high-quality prints and custom-cut graphics. Your expertise will ensure the efficient production of large format print jobs that meet our clients' specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain large format printers (e.g., flatbed, roll-to-roll) to produce high-quality prints on various substrates.

Set up and operate our CNC router to accurately cut and finish printed materials.

Review print orders, confirm job specifications, and ensure accurate material handling and production.

Perform routine maintenance on printing and cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the printing or cutting process to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely completion of jobs and adherence to quality standards.

Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet company and client specifications.

Manage inventory of printing materials and ensure adequate stock levels for production.

Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience operating large format printers and CNC routers.

Strong technical skills and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to read and interpret job orders, blueprints, and technical drawings.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Physical ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with digital design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus.

Previous experience in a print shop or related production environment.

Knowledge of color management and calibration techniques.Company Description
