This role is pivotal in researching, identifying, and cultivating innovative solutions for carrier, freight, logistics, and supply chain management to support healthcare distribution network requirements. The Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to document provider requirements, assesses strategic fit, technical feasibility, and organizational alignment, and contributes to the development of strategies to enhance program value and customer satisfaction for Same Day and Regional Next Day Carrier products. Key responsibilities include carrier discovery, analysis, vetting/contracting, and evaluating providers on capability, rates, quality, safety, security, and on-time fulfillment.

In this role, you will:

Qualify, organize, and support procurement teams in contracting carriers for renewals, evaluations, and future demand requirements.

Conduct pricing and RFP activities for logistics, freight, and courier partners.

Prepare logistics data for business reviews.

Develop KPI metrics and dashboards for carrier performance and manage QBRs.

Provide expert knowledge on freight, logistics, and last-mile delivery solutions, including optimization strategies.

Act as a primary support to the Senior Manager in all related functions.

Interact extensively with Operations teams to gather and optimize carrier requirements.

Contribute to the development of logistics products, policies, and procedures.

Consult with suppliers, sales, operations, customers, and carriers for product development.

Actively participate in strategy development and program prioritization.

Apply a process-oriented approach focused on continuous improvement (Lean) and agile development.

Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or Courier Management Systems (CMS) effectively.

Support portfolio expansion by analyzing market size, barriers to entry, and differentiated value.

Mentor less experienced colleagues and lead complex projects with long-term impact.

Who You Are:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.

5+ years in direct procurement, contracting, and negotiations for courier modes.

Experience in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.

Experience using TMS or CMS; familiarity with tools like Trimble Maps Direct Route is a plus.

Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to handle shifting priorities.

Managing carrier QBRs and developing performance metrics and dashboards.
