About The Role

We are looking for an experienced reporting analyst with advanced Power BI skills and investment knowledge to join our high performing reporting team.

Our vision is to deliver an excellent service to our client by leveraging the latest technology.

This role sits within the Investor Services team of MS Amlin Investment Management Limited (MS AIML), reporting to the Assistant Reporting Manager- MI.

MS AIML is the regulated investment management company of the MS Amlin brand (MSA). MSA is wholly owned by the MS&AD Group. The investment clients of MS AIML include MSA companies and others in the wider MS&AD group.

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing

Transform the way we work by leveraging our new SQL Server data-hub to create reports through Power BI and Excel (using Power Query)

Assist with the various Change and Onboarding projects within MS AIML, focusing on the production and delivery of Management Information in an automated environment

Providing solutions to meet the ever evolving client requirements around MI

Preparation of monthly, quarterly MI reporting and Annual reporting for all clients including head office reporting

Preparation of the Performance Reporting

Identifying and resolving data quality issues

Evaluation of investment related data and timely provision of reports required for the formulation of investment strategy, including examination of asset allocation and performance

Provide cover for the Regulatory Reporting team as required

What We Need From You

Advanced Excel and Power BI skills

Strong knowledge SQL/VBA

Experience of improving MI processes

Good understanding of Investment Book of Records (“IBOR”), Performance Measurement (GIPS standard)

FCA-appropriate qualification for managing investments, e.g. IMC, CFA Level 1 etc

Strong understanding of investment instruments across multiple asset classes (especially Fixed Income)

Strong understanding of what “good looks like” from a client perspective relating to MI

Familiarity with Bloomberg in order to evaluate financial data

Strong understanding of data management best practice, data governance and quality assurance

Focus on emerging risks, how to identify and mitigate these

Competitive Base Salary

Performance Related Discretionary Bonus

Holiday: 28 days core annual leave, and you can buy up to 5 days

Pension: A minimum 2% employee contribution plus 7% MS Amlin contribution (9%) up to a maximum of 5% employee contribution plus 13% MS Amlin contribution (18%)
