Title:Field Area Quality Inspector
KBR is providing Project Management Services encompassing Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phase execution supporting KBR’s client Sonangol’s multi-billion-dollar grass roots Lobito Refinery Project in Angola Africa.
KBR is looking for an Area Quality Inspector to work in the field to ensure that the EPC contractors are in conformance with KBR & Client specifications.

This position is located in Lobito Angola
Responsibilities:
Perform inspections on existing conditions, work being performed, and completed work for quality, completeness, and accuracy.
Perform field surveillances/audits on work being performed to monitor adherence to project specifications and procedures or work methods.
Inspect finished projects to ascertain quality, with the ability to point out any discrepancies.
Prepare written documentation, including daily work reports, controlled inspection reports, daily time and material records, and document unit price work.
Review and mark plans and specifications as needed to ensure and track compliance with the work performed
Observe work conditions for compliance to applicable safety regulations
Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously; and follow through on projects to successful completion
Communicate with various parties on the progress of the work in a timely manner
Qualifications:
7 years of experience in the civil works field.
5 + years of experience in a supervisory position or as a qualified inspector
International project experience
Must have ability to communicate fluently in both spoken and written English
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field or equivalent
