First Onsite is seeking to hire a full-time Lead Water Damage Technician to save the day for our residential and commercial customers as the first responder for water-related emergencies.

Position Summary: The Lead Water Damage Technician supports the emergency response and restoration project to ensure the goals and needs of the insurance companies and our customers are being met.

The Lead Water Damage Technician will provide assistance and support as required to move projects along in a timely manner.

Responsibilities will include use of hand and power tools.

Tasks will involve the cleaning and preparation of sites that includes clean-up of rubble, debris, plus set up of site protection and may be required to remove mould, asbestos, lead and other hazardous materials.

Primary Responsibilities: Trains new water damage technicians and/or labourers on job site Responsible for onsite emergency response activities under the direction of a Water Damage Technician.

Ensure that the workplace is a clean, safe and uncluttered workplace that minimizes cross contamination Learn and practice correct procedures when environmental work is required Provide assistance and support co-workers with completion of tasks as required Work activities may include physical labour, material handling and lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces) Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Solid interpersonal skills with strong customer service orientation WRT certification is an asset Availability for scheduled on-call and after-hour shifts Are you able to work independently?
