The Vice President of Digital Marketing is responsible for leading the digital marketing strategy and initiatives of the company. The Vice President of Digital Marketing will develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing plans, oversee digital marketing campaigns, and drive online brand presence and engagement.

Digital Marketing Service Line Leadership

Lead, mentor, and motivate the Paid Media, SEO, Web Experience, MarTech and Data/Analytics teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Identify and implement ongoing training and professional development opportunities to ensure teams are equipped with the latest skills, tools, and industry knowledge.

Set, monitor, and evaluate team KPIs and performance metrics on a regular basis. Conduct periodic reviews to provide constructive feedback and recognize high performance.

In collaboration with VP Of Delivery Management, plan and allocate resources across teams to meet project demands while maintaining a balanced workload.

Solutioning and Sales Support

Work closely with the Sales team and SMEs to support the development of pitches, proposals, and presentations, ensuring alignment with client needs and market trends.

Provide strategic input and recommendations for potential clients, offering a compelling vision of the Smith’s digital commerce capabilities.

Provide input and review of the estimation process in collaboration with the SMEs to verify resource requirements, timelines, and projected outcomes to develop profitable yet effective digital solutions.

Participate in prospect and client proposals, presentations and sales pitches

Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence

Act as a liaison with the Smith ELT in providing data and insights to shape the strategic vision of

Conduct regular research and analysis of industry trends, competitor activities, and client behavior to identify growth opportunities.

In collaboration with SMEs, identify emerging digital trends and technologies, such as AI, automation, and personalization, into the Smith’s offerings.

Identify potential strategic partnerships with technology vendors, industry influencers, and complementary service providers to enhance the Smith’s capabilities.

Delivery Excellence

Quality Assurance and Innovation

Oversee the delivery of campaigns, projects, and solutions with a focus on quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction. Ensure best practices are followed across all areas.

Drive innovation by implementing the latest tools, techniques, and strategies in digital marketing to keep services competitive and effective.

Act as a point of escalation with clients, working with channel leads to address issues and provide a resolution plan to the client

Ensure that teams provide insightful, data-driven reports and performance analyses to clients, translating results into actionable recommendations.

What We Look For

Minimum 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role (VP, Director, or equivalent) leading cross-functional teams in Paid Media, SEO, Web Experience, Data/Analytics, and Digital PR.

Demonstrated experience in pre-sales activities, including leading the development of proposals, pitches, and presentations. Strong ability to work closely with sales and account teams to align digital solutions with client needs.

In-depth knowledge of a broad range of digital marketing channels, tools, and best practices, with a focus on Paid Media, SEO, Analytics, Web Experience, and Digital PR. Proven experience in driving strategic, data-driven marketing campaigns and digital transformations for large-scale brands.

Strong background in competitive analysis and market research, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies that drive business growth.
