The MRI Technologist Assistant is responsible for assisting MRI Technologist with procedural tasks and basic supportive care to patients and families.

Responsibilities
Prepares patients and all related documentation for imaging procedures, transporting patients to and from the ED/UC areas.
Process RIS orders as requested by radiographer.
Maintains stock of imaging supplies and cleanliness within each procedure room.
Responsible for performing technical tasks and direct patient care under the supervision of a radiographer, performs a variety of non-technical tasks and indirect patient care activities.
Maintains knowledge of current applications in Radiology and complies with regulatory guidelines and policies.
Maintains a variety of section and department functions.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Current student in accredited Radiologic Technology Program, preferred.
Certification:
Current CPR Certification, required
Skills:
High level of communication and organizational skills
High level of professionalism and ability to establish good rapport with patients and staff
Experience:
1 year clinical experience, preferred.
