The Commercial Sales Advisor provides world-class client service by servicing new and existing accounts within the property commercial lines space.
Essential Functions
Develop and maintain effective business relationships with broker and underwriting partners.
Evaluate current insurance coverage, develop and advise proposal options that protect the investor as it relates to their real estate portfolio.
Communicate directly with clients through different communication channels e.g. phone, email, or in-personal in a professional manner.
Use online resources when necessary to complete submission information
Assemble and submit complete accurate submissions to underwriting and markets.
Promptly submit proposal requests to markets.
Review carrier documents for accuracy before sending them to prospects and clients.
Educate clients on the differences in insurance coverage and assist them in determining the best coverage for their business model.
Prepare binding applications and documentation, collect payment information for bind request.
Request policy endorsements as necessary.
Complete and prepare certificates of insurance, proposals, policy summaries, invoices etc.
Check policy coverage and endorsements on all new business.
Maintain accounts in accordance with organizational guidelines.
Service and monitor account activity.
Answer customer questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma required, bachelor’s degree, or 2 years equivalent experience in a Client Service or Commercial experience, preferred
Property & Casualty License required
Proficient working knowledge of insurance agency management system(s) preferred
Excellent communication skills written, oral, including social networking
Proficient in building positive relationships
Solid selling and account management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
General knowledge Real Estate Investing/Transactions preferred
Ability to multi-task and attention to details in a fast-paced environment
Strong follow up skills
