General Description
Responsibilities :-
- Adhering to SLAs
- Mentoring / Training Team Members
- Handling tickets / requests
- Perform root cause analysis
- Troubleshooting technical issues
- Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to
- Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration
- Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA
- Understanding of Multi-geo support environment
- Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment
- Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction
- Suggests new technologies and design changes
- Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members
- Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time
- Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating
Technical Requirements
Technical Requirements on Asterisk Troubleshooting and Architecture - Voice L2 SME
"3-5+ years of experience in Voice Technologies, especially in Asterisk Voice .

Understanding of principles of Voice and data communications.
General IP telephony understanding.
MUST have hands on experience with Asterisk and/or Free PBX/ Digium PBX syst
Installation and support for Asterisk based PBX/Voice Gateway/Servers/Software.
Configuring various VOIP Phones and iOS/Android Smart Phones.
Knowledgeable in IP Telephony, unified communications, data networking, telecommunications, video technologies and Call Center.
Understanding of PRI/BRI/ISDN in telecommunication platform
Engineer is responsible for VoIP Maintenance on a geo-diverse platform and must have the experience and ability to configure and troubleshoot the telephony platform, including using tools to monitor and increase the system capabilities
Experience supporting call centers, Telephony Equipment, and Private Branch Exchanges
Advanced troubleshooting skills on Asterisk PBX /FreeSWITCH/Digium PBX /Asterisk Voice Gateways
Experience working with any/all VoIP and TDM based systems including but not limited to: Cisco Communications Manager, Avaya, Nortel, NEC,
Experience working with TCP/UDP, SIP, RTP/RTCP or other multimedia network protocols
Understanding of SIP call flow, Knowledge of SIP trunks & Advance troubleshooting skills on SIP protocol
Advanced Linux System Administration, Configuration, and System Security
Good understanding of VoIP, H.323 and SIP services
Good understanding of integration of third party apps such as CDR, RightFax,Directory Services,Paging Services, WallBoards
Must be able to diagnose call failures on VoIP and POTS and assist L3 on the analysis
Should be able to jump on P1 bridges and drive the technical troubleshooting bridge.
Good understanding of ACD call flows and Vectoring knowledge with wallboard integrations
Independently resolve tickets within SLA, coordinate with Telco for Circuit issues and DIDs
Monitor Voice network via Monitoring tools like Solarwind, Nector, Prognosis etc
Experience in Intercluster trunking, SIP trunking with Avaya and other IP PBX ( Onnet/
