The expected salary range for this position is $3000/month.
The Department of Forest and Conservation Sciences is seeking to hire a part-time sessional lecturer in 24W - Term 2 (January 1 to April 30, 2025).
The expected salary for this position is $4,000 per credit
Course to be taught:
NRES 150 204 (3 credits): Scholarly writing and argumentation in Natural Resources
Communicating concepts of forests and natural resources, and links to human and environmental activities through writing, elements of argumentation, evaluating evidence, and searching for and citing references to back up claims; small-class experience.
The successful candidate will deliver core lectures; coordinate with guest lecturers; supervise and mentor a teaching assistant; provide feedback and assess student writing; participate in LFS/NRES 150 instructor team meetings; and hold office hours weekly. All positions are subject to enrolment, funding and will be governed by UBC’s Agreement on Conditions of Appointment for Sessional and Part-time Faculty Members.
