JOB DESCRIPTION:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures corporate compliance with infection control, biomedical waste policies and universal precautions.
Reviews CDC, OSHA, AHCA, Manatee County Health Department, Joint Commission reports, policies and standards, including meeting reporting requirements.
Ensures corporate compliance with CDC, OSHA, AHCA, Manatee County Health Department, Joint Commission policies and standards and reports to PI Committee and Environment of Care Committee.
Responsible for annual Infection Control plan and goals. Provides staff training and coordinates with HR.
Responds to infection control and biomedical waste issues, providing guidance and direction to staff.
Maintains PPE supplies for all locations. Monitors staff illnesses and vaccinations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must have good communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level
High School Diploma or GED required.
Years of Experience
Requires a minimum of 3 years’ systems management experience.
Certification/Licensure
Certified Medical Assistant or LPN with a background in Infection Control preferred.
