The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Rule 5123-2-02, “Background Investigations for Employment,” outlines disqualifying offenses that will preclude an applicant from being employed by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.

What will you do?

Monitors Statewide Developmental Center (DC) Programs to ensure compliance with state and federal Medicaid Regulations & Licensure Rules (e.g. HCFA IFC/DD Medicaid Licensure Rules and ACDD Standards, Health Services, Medical Care Plan, etc.).

Oversees audit team involved in the monitoring of all phases of Developmental Center programs.

Coordinates activities and directs monitoring functions of mock survey team comprised of specialists from Central Office and developmental centers.

Ensures compliance with Licensure Rules.

Assists Developmental Center staff in preparation and monitoring of Plans of Correction.

Attends Medicaid exit conferences on department’s behalf.

Consults with and advises Developmental Center Program and technical staff on matters related to interpretation of laws, rules & regulations controlling ICF/DD facilities.

Provides technical assistance regarding program changes and implementation of departmental programs.

Conducts special studies, analysis & measures standards & practices for trends of programs as required by Quality Enhancement Director.

Writes reports and correspondence to document, explain and Implement programs.

Create & conduct training programs relevant to Medicaid and ICF/DD compliance issues which directly impact on the certification of Developmental Centers.

Writes reports, maintains compliance files and assists in maintaining reference materials which are state-of-the-art resources for state-wide use.

Keeps abreast of national trends in area of Quality Systems, attends training programs and seminars as required.

Assist all DCs on site as required by Quality Enhancement Administrator.

Works with the QE Administrator (MHA 6) and the DC’s on the focus of Residential Goals.

Works alongside the DC in helping to bring awareness and acknowledges the role trauma, both mentally and physically, may play in a person’ s life.

Monitors processes put into place and helps create new processes that will improve the overall quality of life of the individuals who live at the DC’s.

Work in collaboration with the TIC Administrator on coordinating, encouraging and promoting Trauma Informed Care in the DCs.

Monitor and assist the DCs in working towards the Residential Goas; promoting positive outcomes for the people servied by encouraging awareness, choice and empowerment.

Monitors and develops systems which can respond to trauma and one that focuses on improving the quality of life of the people who live at the DC.

**This position is hybrid under the agency's current telework agreement.**

For all “administration staff” positions, completion of undergraduate core program in business administration/management sciences or 12 mos. exp. developing goals, objectives, policies & procedures of operational unit or program of agency or firm & monitoring implementation of same. In addition to one of preceding categories (i.e., programmatic positions or administrative staff), 6 mos. trg. in supervisory principles/techniques or 6 mos. exp. scheduling, monitoring & evaluating personnel; 6 mos. trg. in budgeting or 6 mos. exp. determining budget needs & spending for operational unit or program of agency or firm; 6 mos. trg. in employee training & development or 6 mos. exp. writing training materials or conducting training; 3 mos. trg. in manpower planning or 3 mos. exp. scheduling personnel for adequate coverage & making staff projections.
