Structural Designer

Selectek is seeking a Structural Designer for a role with one of our partnering companies near Alexandria, Virginia. This firm specializes in building design and historical building restoration.

Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct

Location: Alexandria, VA

Expected Pay Range: $31.25-$36.06 per hour based on experience and certifications

Job Requirements:

Bachelor s Degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering

EIT certification active or in process

Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD

Expertise in Tekla or RAM structural analysis software programs In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Duties:

Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of building materials using various building codes

Participate in field surveys and document existing conditions

Communicate and coordinate with architects and engineers of other disciplines

Review and evaluate existing building structural systems

Prepare drawings using Revit and AutoCAD

Write comprehensive reports
