As a Product Manager, you will be developing and maintaining the complete line of Polypropylene and Polystyrene resin sales in North America. This position offers a base salary is $100,000-$130,000 plus bonuses, and health benefits, with the first year OTE of $150K and other perks.

THE LOCATION

Head office Toronto, ON

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days working from the office in Toronto and 3-2 days working from home role.

Purchase Managers from Injection moulders, extrusion, blow moulding and film extruders companies

TYPICAL DAY AND DUTIES

Supplier Management: Oversee relationships with a group of approximately 8-10 suppliers, ensuring the availability of the right stock at the right price in collaboration with the vendor services team.

Negotiation and Collaboration: Negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms and work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities, bringing in the appropriate products and setting competitive prices.

Stock and Pricing Management: Make key decisions regarding which products to stock, quantities to order, and pricing strategies, all while managing the company’s margins effectively.

Program Development: Participate in the development of new programs, including the introduction of new suppliers or the exploration of new market segments.

Supplier Engagement: Conduct quarterly visits to suppliers and occasionally join sales representatives on joint calls to support and enhance sales efforts.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering or related field preferred

A minimum of 2 years techinical experience in the plastics industry

5 years of work experience in a similar role as a product manager

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering or related field preferred
