Sterling Engineering is looking for a Controls Engineer for a leading provider of fiber-reinforced composite material. This is a great opportunity to work with a company that truly believes in promoting from within.

Job Duties:

Design and implement control strategies to optimize plant operations using automation technology.

Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to enhance plant performance through effective automation solutions.

Create comprehensive documentation for control systems and processes.

Define requirements for instruments, control equipment, and analyzers.

Diagnose and resolve issues with plant control systems, developing repair strategies as needed.

Oversee programs to ensure the reliability and performance of plant control equipment.

Provide guidance on procurement and application of control equipment for projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

5+ years in a process controls or instrument engineering role.

Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Reliance Electric DC drives, Benshaw RVSS, MicroMotion Mass Flow Meters.

Knowledge of process industry standards and codes (NEC, NFPA etc.).

Proven track record supporting process controls in a production environment.

Experience designing for and working in classified locations

Capital project development and execution.

Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).

Wonderware, Recipe Management Systems, and Flow Control.
