The Position:

The Field Service Engineer is responsible to provide nCounter In-Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) instrument installations, trouble shooting and repairs with a high degree of engineering excellence and customer service. This position is ideally located in Germany or Norway.

Service IVD nCounter platforms and instruments across all regions

Plan preventative maintenance, repairs and installations of laboratory equipment

Coordinate support with Veracyte colleagues and outside technical services where applicable

Provide excellent customer service and quality of results

Provide in-person and remote instrument training.

Document and track instrument services

Coordinate with IVD Sales team to ensure that customers are aware of the lapse of a service contract prior to its expiration.

Who Your Are:

5+ years of bioscience laboratory experience

Commercial diagnostics experience is strongly preferred

A bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering or bioscience area or technical certifications and related work experience

Ability to travel up to 80% including regular travel across the EMEA region and from time-to-time travel to countries outside the EMEA region

Excellent customer service skills

Excellent organizational skills and detailed record keeping

Great communication and follow-up skills with both internal and external contacts

Rapid response and coordination for urgent customer issues

Flexibility and cultural sensitivity to work in a rapidly growing yet still small company

Able to operate autonomously yet within a structured corporate environment

Previous experience of working with international headquarters is a plus

Hands-on style, willing to ‘pitch in’ to get things done

Driven, self-motivated, independent, dependable and passionate individual with excellent project and time management skills

Strong comprehension of English language for conducting business such as reading, writing, speaking with business customers and internal stakeholders

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Pay to be determined by local market and candidate experience
