Opening: Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a prominent medical device manufacturing company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Job Description and Qualifications

Education:

Technical Diploma/Degree: In Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Experience:

Industry Experience: Several years of experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician, preferably in an industrial or medical device setting.

Supervisory Experience: Experience in a supervisory or managerial role is advantageous.

Local Experience: Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is beneficial.

Skills and Competencies:

Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.

Attention to Detail: Precision in maintenance tasks to ensure machinery operates safely and effectively.

Project Management: Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple maintenance projects.

Communication: Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to write clear reports.

Computer Literacy: Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and relevant software.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning and Execution:

Maintenance Schedules: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure machinery operates efficiently.

Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

Preventive Maintenance: Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures.

Team Supervision:

Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and training.

Work Allocation: Assign and oversee maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion.

Compliance and Documentation:

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work complies with local and international regulations.

Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs and inspection reports.

Equipment Management:

Calibration and Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained for accuracy.

Inventory Management: Manage spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure availability.

Additional Requirements:

Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of safety protocols specific to the medical device industry.

Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.

Cultural Awareness: Sensitivity to local customs and business practices in Saudi Arabia is beneficial.
