Company Overview: Our client, a prominent leader in the waste management industry, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of the company. Job Summary: The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis. This role involves overseeing the accounting team, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and manage the company’s financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial metrics, to senior management and stakeholders.

Budget Management: Oversee the development and management of departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals and monitoring variances.

Cost Management: Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and profitability, analyzing financial data to support cost-saving initiatives.

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards, and manage financial risks through effective controls and processes.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage the accounting and finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high standards of work.

Strategic Support: Provide strategic financial insights to senior management, supporting decision-making processes with accurate financial analysis and recommendations.

Audit Coordination: Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all audit requirements.

Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company’s financial stability and liquidity.

System Improvements: Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within the waste management, logistics, or related industry.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; a Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.

Skills:

Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.

Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).

In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
