Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Sr Accounting Manager to join our corporate team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership role in supporting the Company’s accelerated month-end close initiative
Lead in all general accounting matters aligned with Financial Planning & Analysis counterpart
Manage the month-end close process; analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy
Oversee journal entry and account reconciliation review and approval
Experience managing a team; ability to mentor and develop staff
Coordinate, compile and review requests for interim review and year-end external audit
Support Integration team with system efficiencies and process improvements in Business Central (ERP) and other supporting software
Ability to efficiently handle ambiguity and change; able to act as a change agent
Proactive self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and an ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet pressing deadlines
Flexible and willing to adapt as priorities change and meet commitments by deadlines
Readiness to embrace and drive process improvements/efficiencies
Use of advanced Excel skills for data analysis; efficiently summarizing and presenting information towards resolution
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
10+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience
Experience managing a team and/or directing activities of others in a project capacity
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in accounting or related discipline
Experience in various ERP systems with strong internal controls a plus
