Role: Business Analyst

Location: Remote (EST)

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis: Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, focusing on data analytics, patient management, and process improvements.

Data Analytics: Develop, generate, and analyze reports and dashboards using Business Intelligence (BI) tools to support decision-making and operational efficiency.

SQL Development: Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze healthcare data across various databases.

EPIC System Integration: Work with EPIC systems to support data extraction, report generation, and integration with other systems and databases.

HIPAA Compliance: Ensure all solutions and processes adhere to HIPAA regulations, protecting patient privacy and sensitive healthcare data.

Healthcare Systems: Provide expertise in healthcare workflows, including patient management, clinical operations, and data management across different departments.

Data Governance: Participate in establishing data governance frameworks and best practices for maintaining data quality, accuracy, and consistency across healthcare systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, data engineers, healthcare professionals, and external vendors to deliver data-driven solutions.

Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement in healthcare delivery, workflow optimization, and patient care, based on data insights.

Required:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare industry.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik).

Strong proficiency in SQL for querying databases, analyzing data, and generating reports.

Hands-on experience working with EPIC (specifically in reporting, integration, or data management).

Thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare data privacy standards.

Experience with data visualization and data analytics to support healthcare decision-making.

Healthcare Domain Expertise:

Familiarity with healthcare processes, clinical workflows, EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems, and healthcare data management.

Analytical Thinking: Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and provide actionable insights from data analysis.

Project Management: Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams and managing projects from conception to completion.
