Residential Construction Purchasing Agent

We are partnered with a Leading Residential Home Builder, that is looking to add a Purchasing Agent to their team!

** Purchasing Agent Job Summary:**

The Purchasing Agent will support the procurement of materials and supplies necessary for residential construction projects. This role involves working closely with suppliers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.

** Purchasing Agent Key Responsibilities:**

Source and procure materials, supplies, and services for residential construction projects.

Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms.

Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with site supervisors for material needs.

Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and manage order documentation.

Track and resolve any issues related to order discrepancies or delays.

Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.

Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier information.

** Purchasing Agent Qualifications:**

Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the construction industry.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with procurement software.

Basic knowledge of construction materials and market trends.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
