Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Columbus, OH

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-speed manufacturing equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of vision systems, particularly Cognex, to ensure quality control and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform regular preventive maintenance on high-speed manufacturing equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems to ensure equipment uptime.

Conduct routine inspections and audits of equipment to identify potential issues.

Quickly and effectively troubleshoot equipment failures to minimize downtime.

Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Cognex vision systems to ensure accurate product inspection and quality control.

Configure and calibrate vision systems for optimal performance.

Conduct regular checks and updates to vision system software and hardware.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts usage, and equipment modifications.

Update technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams as necessary.

Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance processes and procedures.

Train and mentor junior technicians and operators on equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Report any safety hazards or incidents to management promptly.
